Scheduled for launch in the first half of 2022, the state-of-the-science geostationary Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) instrument will measure at unprecedented spatial and temporal resolutions over North America. The suite of trace gas and aerosol pollutants provided by TEMPO will support detailed studies of atmospheric chemistry changes, thereby improving assessment and prediction of air quality (AQ) far beyond what is presently available. TEMPO data products will address uncertainties in current AQ modeling and the health impact of AQ changes, which will improve current modeling approaches for exposure estimates. Sponsored jointly by the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Science Program, this conference is the first event devoted to a multidisciplinary discussion of health-related applications for data provided by the novel TEMPO instrumentation.

The conference will be of interest for scientists, application developers and end-users partners, particularly those from health-related settings. Topics will also be pertinent to state and federal government agencies, commercial partners, non-government organizations, and academia.

• Description of the TEMPO instrument and data characterization for the attendees.
• assimilation of TEMPO data products into study designs, methodologies, and existing models
• Strategies for transforming TEMPO data products into actionable information for end-users
  • demonstration of proxy products for rapid access of TEMPO-generated AQ data
• Potential applications of TEMPO data products into existing/new epidemiological and translational health research efforts
  • demonstration of improvements in accuracy and prediction of AQ/health impact studies supported by TEMPO data
